WRITE - A letter to the author describing how the book changed your view of the world or yourself. It should be a
reflective, personal letter - not a book report.

LETTERS - Will be judged by a committee.

WINNERS - Will be contacted by April 2, 2012 and announced here.

PRESENTATION - Winners will be honored on
April 10, 2012 at 7 PM in the Lewis & Clark Library Large Meeting
Room.
Winners will read their letters aloud to adoring fans in celebration of National Library Week.

PRIZES - Win money for your school library to buy books.. Prize money is sponsored by the Lewis & Clark Library Foundation.
Guidlines

KIDS - in 4th and 5th grade. ONLY - one submission per student.

LENGTH - typed on one 8 1/2 x 11" sheet of paper.

INCLUDE - Your name, address, phone number, the name of your school or homeschool, and your age.

LETTERS - will not be returned. You can also submit your work to Letters About Literature at the
Letters About Literature Website. The Letters About Literature deadline is
January 6, 2012.

SUBMIT - March 12 through March 16, 2012.
